It is Ätbart’s view that those who are involved in a system can also criticize it. By actively participating in the donation system, Ätbart hopes to steer it in a more sustainable direction.
How do you maintain your integrity when you're sponsored by food companies?
Sponsoring Ätbart does not mean buying lobbying services or goodwill. Ätbart has lived up to this principle on numerous occasions.
How is Ätbart funded?
Ätbart is funded by project grants from the Kavli Trust, The Swedish Postcode Lottery, and Allmänna Arvsfonden, as well as through membership fees and corporate sponsorship.
Does Ätbart share the beliefs and social analysis of the members of the Swedish Food Bank Network?
Ätbart is a non-denominational organisation. We champion diversity in civil society. The problem with Christian organisations distributing food is not that they are based on religious principles, but that society has failed to take responsibility for the unequal living conditions people face. Ätbart supports these principles together with the members of the Swedish Food Bank Network.

How much does it cost to become a member?
Becoming a member of Ätbart costs 99 SEK/year. For those who want to give extra support to the association, there is also the option of paying a higher membership fee, or giving a gift.
How do I pay my membership fee?
Payment is made when you become a member and is paid via card payment with Stripe.
How is the money used?
Ätbart is a nonprofit public-benefit organisation and, as such, relies on donations and members to keep its operations running.
